Strike a pose

I couldn't wait until Christmas to open up a present my wife got me. Now that I'm looking for new opportunities, I needed to expand my skills set and have a hobby as well. So I needed to do something with my time.

When the package arrived on Friday, I opened the box, and it was a Sony a6000 digital camera. I was so anxious to try it out. I have some basic to intermediate knowledge, but I plan to teach myself to be a better photographer and videographer so that can enhance my abilities as a creative leader.

As I experiment with the camera, I'm hoping to find out how I want to use it. There will be a lot of YouTube tutorials, and I have a couple buddies who will help me. But I'm excited.

In the meantime, I took my first steps. On Sunday, the family and I went for a hike at Lake Elmo to break in the camera. Below are a few of images from that hike. I can't wait to see what my images will look like a year from now
